Barugh Green Primary School is situated just off the A635 Barnsley to Huddersfield Road about 2½ miles north west of Barnsley town centre.  Barugh Green is a semi-rural commuter village.  The school is close to open countryside with Cannon Hall and Bretton Park close by.

Barugh Green is a county Primary Co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 4-11.  Our goal is to provide the best education in the broadest sense, for all pupils attending school. We want all children to be happy, to learn and to achieve their full potential. We deliver a well balanced and broad curriculum covering the subjects of the National Curriculum and more, with staff trained to a high level.

Barugh Green is a caring and supportive school with good relationships in a disciplined environment. We encourage pupils to be friendly and polite, seeking to build relationships with other children and adults, and to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.
