Sports College

Priory School was designated as a specialist Sports College in June 1999 and as a result was able to build upon it's success both in physical education and sport as well as academic performance across the whole school. Capital money enabled us to refurbish our sports facilities and establish state of the art climbing and fitness facilities.

 

Outreach work meant we were now able to establish programmes with both Primary and Secondary partners in relation to both the PE curriculum and out-of-hours sport. In short our status has resulted in an extremely wide range of opportunities for both pupils and staff alike and has given us a real sense of belonging and purpose.
