Children at Wellgate really enjoy music. They experience music in many different forms.

Infant Christmas Concert

The infant children performed 'The Toymaker' for their Christmas concert. The performance was a mix of traditional and modern themes.

George Boucher and Hannah Griffiths played the toymaker and his wife. The reception children performed a wonderful rendition of the nativity play and below are some of the photos.

Year 1 class 3 children performed 'How much is that doggy in the window', 'Teddy Bears picnic' and 'The Sugar Plum fairy'

Year 1 class 4 children performed 'Snow white and the seven dwarfs', 'Red Indian chant' and 'Here we go Looby Loo'

Year 2 class 5 children performed 'Barbie girls', 'Jessica Parker's Irish dance', 'Action man dance' and 'The clown dance'

Year 2 class 6 children performed 'The parade of the tin soldiers', 'Tragedy' and 'I've got no strings'

Harvest Festival Concert

On the 15th October the infant children performed their Harvest Festival concert in front of their parents , grandparents etc. It was a beautiful concert and the songs that were sung left the audience with a happy, warm feeling inside. George Boucher introduced the concert with Charlotte Hutton and Hannah Griffiths introducing later on through the concert.

Each class were intoducing a letter to spell the word "Harvest"

Elinor Rhodes introduced the letter "H" for Class 5.

Class 5 were "H" for Hay. They performed "The Little Red Hen Rap" and below is a picture of them.

Class 4 were "A" for Apples. They showed their apple pictures and read out their apple poems written by themselves and below is a picture of them.

Class 2 were "R" for Rainfall. They played their instruments to sound like thunder and rain and sang "I hear thunder"

Class 3 were "E" for energy. They sang the song "I love the sun"
